Incredible - but incredibly true! This burst out of the prophet Isaiah with euphoria: "What no eye has ever seen, what no ear has ever heard and what no human being could imagine, God has in store for those who love him." (Isaiah 64:3)

Our two speakers at the AVC Annual Event 2024 will talk about our God, who transforms the unbelievable into real facts: Rita El-Mounayer, head of SAT7, and her team are transporting the most incredible message of all time via satellite to the most remote parlors in the Orient. And Brother F., the grandson of an ayatollah and fearless ex-imam, puts his heart and soul into his mission "to bring the fatherly love of God to those who are considered spiritual orphans."

In addition, other AVC employees and partners will talk about their experiences on the front line and how God repeatedly intervenes in incredible ways in His creation.

«Bringing God's fatherly love to those who are considered spiritual orphans.»

Brother F. has already introduced countless refugees to Jesus on the Turkey-Greece-Italy refugee route, accompanied drug addicts and baptized people of all backgrounds. The Iranian-born ex-imam and grandson of an ayatollah has risked his life to found several churches. His heart burns for people who hardly have a chance to hear about Jesus. Even torture in an Iranian prison could not deter him from his calling, on the contrary: together with his wife, he exemplifies discipleship with an infectious passion. We are delighted to hear about the inspiring life of Brother F. and the sometimes unbelievable work of God.

Rita El-Mounayer was born in Lebanon and is the CEO of SAT7, a Christian satellite TV that reaches millions of people with the Gospel every year in the most remote places in the Middle East. SAT7 operates from five TV studios in different nations and produces over 3000 hours of content, resulting in over 90,000 one-on-one conversations with viewers and interested parties every year. Rita has countless God-stories to tell about how God has intervened and worked spectacularly through SAT7.

This year's annual event will be held bilingually (de/fr) in Biel/Bienne.

Time frame: 09.30 – 16.30 Uhr including lunch break)

Program

09.00 – 10.00: General Assembly (for members of the association and the board)
09.30 – 10.30: Opening of doors, time for encounters with coffee and croissants
10.30 – 12.00: Plenary session with Rita El-Mounayer and "Insights into AVC project countries"
12.00 – 14.00: Lunch break with interactive offers, time for encounters and conversations
14.00 – 15.30: Plenary session with Brother F. and "Insights into AVC project countries"
15.30 – 16.30: Time for encounters and interactive offers with drinks and snacks

We have deliberately planned a lot of time for encounters and conversations, also with guests from different countries of the world.

Costs

You are cordially invited. Participation as well as coffee breaks and lunch are free of charge. There will be on-site donation opportunities for various projects.

Children

There will be a supervised childcare service on site for toddlers aged 1-5 and a children's program in German and French for children aged 6-12. Please indicate the number of children participating in these two programs when registering.

Arrival by public transport

From Biel/Bienne SBB train station, the Kongresshaus is about a 5-minute walk away. Otherwise, bus no. 74 and bus no. 9 will take you to the "Kongresshaus" stop.

Arrival by car

The Kongresshaus has a parking garage where parking spaces are available (for a fee).
