Education Pakistan
In Pakistan, especially in the Sindh province, many poor families have to make themselves available as serfs in order to even come close to surviving. Many families working as serfs find themselves in this desperate situation: thousands of adults have zero prospects for the future. Because the state does nothing to improve the situation, change can only be brought about by private initiatives. This prompted AVC in 2016 to launch an education program for children and a vegetable growing project for women.
In a model farm as well as in various small villages, women are instructed in organic vegetable cultivation, including the production of organic fertiliser. The women, many of whom are traumatized by abuse, also receive pastoral care.
Establishment of six elementary schools for 250 children from poor families in order to enable them to get a good education and to be able to attend higher, public schools.
250 poverty-stricken women from 22 villages are trained in vegetable growing seminars. After completing the training, they receive tools and seeds to create their own garden. The project serves to secure the livelihood of families in the Sindh province.
