Project »Wood for heating«

While bringing Christmas parcels to Bosnia and Herzegovina, we have met many families who cannot afford heating material. They spend the cold season in unheated, sometimes dilapidated houses. Health restrictions, unemployment and old age make wood a luxury good. The inadequate welfare state network is unable to provide support for those affected. Our local partner has therefore asked us to support some particularly needy families with heating material. The wood is procured, dried, and prepared in summer and provides warmth in the cold winter months.
