Thongchan free
A good three weeks ago we reported that Thongchan was not released even though an order of release was issued (see News from 11.02.2012). But now we have very good news.
Rongliang released
In March 2002 AVC organized a demonstration in Berlin for the persecuted Christians in China. One of them was Zhang Rongliang.
Thongchan remains in prison – despite orders to release him
Pastor Thongchan from Laos and two other Christians were sentenced to 15 years in prison in 1999. The other two have since died as a result of the inhumane treatment and conditions in prison.
No registration – no prayer
Azerbaidjan: Following a raid at a service in Neftechala, pastor Telman Aliev and all members of the Baptist church were summoned for questioning by the police on 23rd December 2011.
