But now we have very good news. On 2nd February 2012 he was finally released. Because of his faith in Jesus Thongchan spent thirteen years in prison under severe conditions. 

 

He wants to thank everybody from the bottom of his heart who prayed for him and campaigned for him.

One of them was Zhang Rongliang. Rongliang spent more than twelve years of his life in prisons because he was active for the home church movement “China for Christ”. Now he is finally free again but his health is very poor. Open Doors reports that Rongliang is suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure and after a stroke he is paralyzed on one side. But his spirit is unbroken. He thanks everybody who prayed for him and stood up for him.

 

Many more Christians are in prisons and camps where they are tortured and humiliated. Our engagement and prayer must continue.
