The teaching of Muhammad is spreading increasingly also in Europe. It is important for Christians to learn about this religion in order to be equipped to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with Muslims. It also helps to understand the situation of persecuted Christians in islamic countries.
AVC supports projects and helps persecuted Christians in islamic states with relevant information and assistance in the encounter with Islam.

Dr. Andreas Maurer
Islam Consultant
Married to Ruth, three sons. Trained and occupied as a Mechanical Engineer in Switzerland.
Studied at bible college in England from 1981-1983. Thereafter enlarged his knowledge through various courses and theological studies at universities in England and South Africa. In 1999 completed doctorate at the University of Pretoria (UNISA) on the topic: «In Search of a new Life: Conversion Motives of Christians and Muslims».
From 1984-1999 served in South Africa with SMF (Swiss-Missionary-Fellowship). Engagements in projects concerning training Christians in mission to Muslims.
From 2000-2007 with AWM (Arab World Ministries) as a trainer in Switzerland and worldwide.
From 2008-2010 part-time work as a Mechanical Engineer, Energy Consultant and Islam Consultant.
As from 2011 with AVC (Action for persecuted Christians and needy people) as Islam Consultant and speaker inland and abroad.
